This area also offers plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Locals really enjoy the North Shore Open Space Park Beach which goes from Collins Avenue from 78th Street to 87th Terrace and contains a beach with a tropical and natural vibe with palm trees and other trees that surround the area. The park offers bike paths, natural trails, picnic tables, and grills.

Other options for fun besides the beach can be found at the Scott Rakow Youth Center on Sheridan Avenue for bowling. Saturdays and Sundays at this place are family day with one round of bowling for a discounted price.  Also, the center has a swimming pool, fitness center, game room, and an ice skating rink.
